S.D.Public Sr. Sec. School is being run by Sanatan Dharam Progressive Education Society of Delhi. It was started in 1917in the form of a coaching centre for girls by Late Lala Lachman Das Ji, a great philanthropist to further the cause of women education in the society. Thereafter it developed into a primary school for girls. It became an aided school recognized by M.C.D. In 1984 it underwent a change and was turned into a co-educational English medium public School. Today it stands recognized as an English medium composite Sr. Sec. School. Presently it has only Commerce Stream. It is housed in a modest building in the heart of Chandni Chowk. It is the only English medium co-education school in the walled city area. Its a three storeyed building with adequate furniture. We have a team of qualified, well trained and dedicated staff.

S.D.Public Sr. Sec. School has the tradition of excellent results both in Class X with many students getting highest CGPA and Class XII board examinations having a number of distinctions in all the subjects. Students have also been getting C.B.S.E Merit Certificates in various subjects. The school imparts Value Education. All the students from class I to class XII are divided into four houses. Inter – House competitions in various activities and Class Assembly during the year ensure participation of almost every student in cultural activities. The school provides Computer Education to all the students from Class II onwards.
